Tight alignment for optimal results
The Ultimaker S5 is larger than any Ultimaker has ever been. With a build volume of 330 x 240 x 300mm, it offers unprecedented possibilities. But unlike his predecessors, the Ultimaker S5 is largely closed, thanks to its tinted glass doors. These doors optimize the airflow inside the build surface, in order to achieve the best possible results. The LED Lights provide visual feedback during and after printing. To complete the picture, the Ultimaker S5 has an intuitive touchscreen.
Intuitive operating for rapid progress
The 4.7 inch/11.9 cm touch screen replaces the rotating wheel and offers the user the certainty of a fast and smooth operation. With no less than 11 supported display languages, among them Dutch, English, French, German, Spanish and Italian, Ultimaker has provided operations in multiple languages.
Reliable adhesion, from the first layer on
Not only has Ultimaker enlarged the build volume of the Ultimaker S5 to 330 x 240 x 300mm, they also added a multi-point leveling to the Ultimaker S5. This way you create a precise and detailed height map of your printbed. That way all materials adhere instinctively to one of the two possible print surfaces, from the first layer on. The S5 comes with two possible print surfaces. The known tempered glass plate for regular use, and an ultra-flat anodized aluminum plate for industrial materials and applications.
Guaranteed progress of your prints
Just as the Ultimaker 3, the Ultimaker S5 works with interchangeable print cores (0.25mm – 0.4mm – 0.8mm), that retract when not printing. The NFC-chip and EEPROM-chip will indicate when the selected material does not match the material indicated in the print settings. The new filament flow sensor protects your prints from failing due to a lack of material. This sensor will notify you when the material is empty and automatically stops your print. This way, you work more efficiently to increase you ROI.
Always stay connected
Thanks to the WiFi and LAN connections, you can monitor the progress of you prints via the internal camera. The brand-new app also allows you to do this, and so much more.
Just like the Ultimaker 3, the Ultimaker S5 can manage multiple devices in CURA Connect. All this ensures that the Ultimaker S5 combines outstanding performance with authenticity and reliability.
