Polymaker PolyMide PA6-CF is a carbon reinforced PA6 (Nylon6) filament with industrial engineering properties. This material has an improved stiffness, strength and heat resistance. The Fiber Adhesion Technology of Polymaker adds the outstanding layer adhesion to printed parts made with PolyMide PA6-CF. These parts are suitable for use in end-use parts, from which the properties require a high strength.

Not only does the PolyMide PA6-CF feature the Fiber Adhesion Technology, which results in better adhesion and smoother results, it also features the Warp-Free Technology. This allows your prints to reach an excellent dimensional stability, which leads to near-zero warping.  

How to print PolyMide PA6-CF
The settings to reach optimized results can be found at the bottom of this page. More importantly, it is not to only use the correct settings but also the right add-ons and accessories. The build plate and adhesion materials help to exclude the minimal chance of warping. We recommend using a flexible plate (for easy part removal) and Magigoo.

Because this material is carbon reinforced, a regular nozzle will wear out much faster than when printing with regular materials. That is why we recommend a full-metal hot-end and nozzle, which can withstand temperatures of 280°C and higher with ease. For the nozzle, a stainless steel or ruby nozzle is a good solution. Possibilities are the Ruby Nozzle or the Print Core CC Red.

PolyMide PA6-CF is very hygroscopic, meaning that it will tend to absorb moisture very easy. An increased moisture in your material will lead to a lowered quality of your printed parts. That is why we recommend to use the PolyBox before, during and after printing.

Annealing your prints
We also recommend to anneal each print made with PolyMide PA6-CF. Annealing allows users to take advantage of the full mechanical and thermal properties of its prints. The process consists of putting the printed part in an oven at 90°C for 2 hours.
