PEEKQ filament is a higher flow PEEK filament that is easier to print than regular PEEK filament. This PEEKQ has been specially developed for production.
PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone) is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic with excellent mechanical and chemical resistance properties that are maintained at continuous high temperatures. PEEK is one of the best performing engineering thermoplastics in the world. PEEK is used to make parts for the aerospace, automotive, oil and gas, and medical industries.
In 3D printing, PEEK is mainly used to replace plastic and metal parts in aircraft, parts for machine building and car parts. The PEEK filament from 3D4makers is already widely used for these types of applications. The feedback they received from the users was that PEEK is a difficult material to 3D print. A constant temperature in the building chamber is necessary for a good result. Something that not every high temperature 3D printer can do. To increase the printability, 3D4makers started extensive testing and eventually came up with the PEEKQ filament. This is a PEEK filament with additives, something that 3D4makers normally never do. But this has made it into PEEK filament that has been specially developed for FDM 3D printing.
