Design. Build. Race. The motto of Formula Electric Belgium, the student racing team of KU Leuven. Every year they take part in competitions in the international Formula Student competition. The objective is and remains the same. Participate and win.
To optimize their car, they use an Ultimaker 3 Extended for this edition. Why do they use it? "We use the 3D printer to visualize small concepts so that we can get started with them. Prototypes of small parts are also printed and tested, to ensure that we are on the right track. In the coming weeks we will print extra items that are also used in the car. In this way we save costs and time, and we optimize our chances during the game. "
