Highly rated by 3D Hubs and a real workhorse. That is a very short summary of the BCN3D Sigma 3D printer. With an unseen IDEX print system, the BCN3D Sigma combines build quality, reliability and print quality.
The BCN3D Sigma is a rather special kind of dual extrusion 3D printer. Both extruders are not placed next to each other, but on opposite sides of the printer. This way, the printer can reach a maximum build volume of 210 x 297 x 210 mm. The extrusion system is part of the IDEX FFF system of BCN3D. IDEX stands for Independent Dual Extrusion.
All of these items give BCN3D’s Sigma the possibility to print highly detailed objects within the range of the build volume. The dual extrusion gives you the freedom to print with soluble materials (like PVA), combined multimaterial prints (like for example PLA and FLEX) or multicolor prints.
The Sigma has a sturdy aluminum frame which gives it the look and feel it fills in, the one of a real workhorse. All of this is combined with an assisted automatic bed levelling, which allows you to start printing easily.
